Medusa's kiss, the curse reversed
with a sinuous smile beneath guarded eyes
predatory nature,
stalk the line.
The phoenix rises from blood-tinged ashes
pretension, ascension
stoke the emerald blaze
a lurid heat from beneath raw, naked lashes
sweet acid bite of white fire passion
burning aching red wounds deep
ripping through the iron-walled consciousness on deep-throated laughter
seditious seduction of crystalline chaos
tempered by the dark purr of ego
alabaster angel wings shattered on gray matter ground
subconscious invasion,
pervasive, persuasive,
cool reason stilling the surging, merging miasma
bleeding cold
in the sparring dance
elegant detachment through the veiled lids
and corrosive flame, pulsing deep.
