Wonder sour,
its amaretto tang
fermenting thick on tastebuds

The tools of intellect
clang unused

while knotted viperous speculation
wrenches vertebrae taut.

Metallic golden flickers
dessicated to autumn leaves,
crunching beneath steel-toed reality
in a glitter scatter storm.
